Extend your pilgrimage to the National Shrine with an overnight stay in one of our guest rooms at the Saint John Paul House.

The Saint John Paul House on Eden Hill has 7 bedrooms that are all simple but very comfortable. Each room carries a patronal name:

Amenities

 Meals are not available, but you may bring your own food and prepare it in the shared St. Martha's Kitchen. The House also includes the shared Divine Mercy Sitting Room/Library.

Daily Spiritual Opportunities

Retreatants are encouraged to participate in Mass, Confession, Adoration, Rosary and the Chaplet of Divine Mercy.

NOTE: There is no vacancy at the Saint John Paul House for Divine Mercy Sunday nor for the week before or after Divine Mercy Sunday. Please contact one of the other nearby establishments for lodging.

There is a telephone located in the kitchen area for calling the Shrine Receptionist at 413-298-3931 if needed. The Receptionist leaves at 5 p.m. each day.

Climate/Clothing

  • October through November: The climate usually calls for some warmer clothing, a sweater or light jacket.
  • November through April: These months are winter in Massachusetts and therefore appropriate clothing is necessary.
  • Informal clothing and rugged shoes are desirable most times of the year. Boots or overshoes are necessary in the winter.

Smoking

Out of sensitivity to other guests, including those who will be following you in the St. John Paul II House, smoking is not permitted in the St. John Paul II House or in the other buildings on the grounds.

Unfortunately, we do not have a restaurant on the grounds, but you can find some nice places in town and surrounding areas to eat. Check this link for restaurants in the area.

Animals

We ask that you not bring pets or any animals with you. Please make arrangements for the care of your pet or animal as you plan your retreat time.

Should you need to cancel

Should it become necessary to cancel a reservation, notice should be given as soon as possible by sending an email to [email protected] or calling (800) 462-7426 ext. 6. This will allow us to make the space available to others.
